About

Diana is the Lead for Climate Change and Health at Northern Health. Originally from Germany, she has lived on the unceded traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh in Prince George since 2002. A social scientist by training, she holds a BA and MA in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies from UNBC and a PhD from the University of Otago in New Zealand, where she studied how small nature-based businesses adapt to environmental and climate-related changes. Before joining Northern Health, Diana managed the Environment, Community, Health Observatory (ECHO) Network at UNBC, working with partners across research and health sectors on the cumulative health impacts of resource development. In her role as Lead for Climate Change and Health, Diana’s primary focus is on leading and supporting the implementation of climate change and health initiatives in PPH and across Northern Health (NH), as well as in partnership with communities.
