About
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), Canada. My research focuses on Internet traffic analysis (traffic prediction and classification), cyber-attack detection (anomaly detection, forecasting, and blockchain), and data mining (association rule mining and formal concept analysis).
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Western University, Canada, where I was nominated for the Governor General’s Gold Medal. I also hold an M.Sc. in Computer Science with Distinction from Brock University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Patuakhali Science and Technology University, where I received both the Chancellor’s Gold Award and the Prime Minister’s Gold Award.
I have published extensively in high-impact journals and conferences and served as a reviewer for leading academic publications. My work advances forecasting-based anomaly detection, privacy-preserving AI, and cybersecurity frameworks, while mentoring graduate and undergraduate students for impactful careers in network security and AI-driven anomaly detection.
